Meet our musicians
Laura Arpiainen
Violin
Laura Arpiainen, violin, has performed at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam with the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival Orchestra and at Carnegie Hall, among others. She currently teaches elementary music at Blueberry Hill school in Longmeadow.
Amanda Stenroos
violin
Amanda Stenroos, violin, serves as the General Manager for the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival in Colchester, Vermont, and is co-founder and producer of the UMass Amherst Bach Festival and Symposium. She has also co-founded and run other organizations such as the Norwottuck Chamber Concerts, Lighthouse Chamber Players, and Victory Players. Amanda teaches violin privately and performs frequently around the Pioneer Valley, and is an active cyclist, leading a group mountain bike ride through Valley Bike and Ski Werks.
Anton Boutkov
Viola
Violist Anton Boutkov, former member of the Chicago Civic Orchestra and guest musician with the Greenwich Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, currently resides in Hadley, Massachusetts where he actively substitutes with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and plays with other local ensembles in the New England area. Anton currently serves as the Professor of Viola at Clark University.
Karl Knapp
Cello
Karl Knapp, cello, has maintained a 20+ year career spanning solo, chamber, and orchestral performances across a wide variety of repertoire throughout the US. Dr. Knapp, an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, serves as the Cello Instructor at Amherst College and teaches an active private Suzuki studio in Amherst, MA.
